New MAK-90 M4 Adapter and entire M4 Adapter Family!
One of our very first machined products was the MOD-1, which can still be purchased from M13 Industries, a simple buffer tube adapter for the 4.5mm folding AKs. Since then, our family of adapters have grown significantly!
This blog post will identify all of our current M4 adapters, what they fit, and cover some of their features.
All of our M4 adapters have the following in common
- 7075 T6 Aluminum
- Type 3 Hard Coat Anodized
- Provide 3/8" cheek rise which will allow most users to still utilize iron sights
- Accept Most M16/M4 buffer tubes, stocks, lock plates
- Have 2 integrated QD sling sockets
- Fits *most* 1.5mm Chinese square back AK rifles, Examples Polytech, Norinco
- Does not fit slant cut MAK-90 (we are working on those now!)
- Does not fold
- Attaches via our proprietary T-Nut and Top Screw (included)

- Fits *most* Type 3 style Milled Receivers with Fixed stock, SAM7R, SLR95, 101S, 100H, Tortort
- Does not require you to cut off your tang, but does required removal of 2 rivets that hold on lower tang
- Does not fold
- Attaches via 2 anchors and 2 bolts (included), bottom anchor attaches via 2 bolts that replace the rivets
- Fits *most* 1mm stamped square back AK rifles, Examples WASR, 107r, Lynx12, AK-74
- Does not require you to cut off your tang
- Does not fold
- Attaches via our proprietary T-Nut and Top Screw (included)
- Fits our MRKT Trunnion and most firearms with "ACE" or Stormwerkz pattern holes
- Folds with "ACE" or Stormwerkz folding mechs (sold separately)
- Attaches via 2x 10-32 bolts (included)
- Fits any AK equipped with our MRKT trunnion
- Does not fold
- Attaches via a 1/4-20 bolt from the inside (included) so you don't have to disassemble your buffer tube

- Fits 4.5mm folding rear trunnions like 104/106/107 UR/CR/FR, AKS-74, AKS-74u
- Partially folds, does not lock in place
- Attaches via the factory hinge pin and latch
