What Is the Difference Between 24x1.5 RH and 26x1.5 LH AK Mounts?

The difference is more than two millimeters and a thread direction. The 24x1.5 RH and 26x1.5 LH patterns belong to different AK host lanes, and a muzzle device for one should not be treated as a substitute for the other.


A common SAM7K-44 setup uses 24x1.5 right-hand front-sight-block threads. A ZPAP92 or M92-pattern host commonly uses the Zastava 26x1.5 left-hand lane. The exact firearm still has to be verified before ordering because model changes, imported variants, and prior modifications can alter the answer.

What Does 24F Mean in JMac Product Names?

In JMac naming, 24F identifies the 24x1.5 front-sight-block or facemount lane. These threads are typically on the front sight block rather than cut directly into the barrel. The device therefore needs to use the correct indexing method for the host since a shoulder is not present
The 360HD-24F-TM belongs to the standard JMac taper ecosystem. The 360HD-24F-X37 will allow you to attach a suppressor or other muzzle accessory using HUB-compatible exterior threads. Sharing the same 24F host thread does not make the suppressor-side interfaces interchangeable.

What Does 26F Mean?

The 26F lane covers 26x1.5 LH Zastava M92/ZPAP92-pattern front ends. The 360HD-26F-X37 provides a 26x1.4LH, HUB-compatible option when the exact host and suppressor setup are verified.

Do not use a 24F product on a 26F host or vice versa. Do not identify the thread from the outer diameter of the front sight block alone. Confirm the model and the actual thread pattern.

Taper and HUB Are Different Decisions

The host thread determines  how the muzzle device attaches to the firearm. Taper or HUB determines  what happens on the suppressor side. Both have to be correct.

A standard JMac taper device supports the JMac taper-thread ecosystem. A HUB/X37 route supports compatible 1.375-24 HUB-based suppressor configurations where applicable. BANKA uses the 360HD Micro HUB system and should not be described as a standard JMac taper or KeyMo setup.

Why Facemount and Alignment Checks Matter

AK front-sight-block threads may not provide a conventional shoulder for indexing. A correctly designed facemount device uses the muzzle face as its reference. Installation still requires a clean, undamaged muzzle face and the correct product instructions.
