JMAC's VAULT: The Battle-Worn AK-105 & The All-New CRSU
WELCOME TO JMAC’S VAULT!
You’ve seen the parts, now see how I run them. We’re launching a brand new Video Blog series where I’m opening up my personal collection to show you the "why" behind every build, every prototype, and every scratch.
First up: My Personal AK-105. This isn't a safe queen—it’s a battle-worn machine gun with a warped receiver that has survived years of demo abuse. But even a workhorse needs precision.
Finding the perfect optic for your firearm is only half the battle
Introducing the CRSU: The Ultimate Adjustable Cheek Riser
The CRSU is our new adjustable cheek riser designed to give you that perfect, repeatable eye-to-optic alignment
- Adjustability: It features three height settings (all the way up, middle, and all the way down) covering an 8-inch rise. Whether you are running a tall EOTech, an LPVO, or standard iron sights, you can dial it in exactly where you need it.
- Compatibility: The CRSU is compatible with our triangle skeleton and arm bars, bolting directly into the top holes
. - Classic Integration: Excitingly, it also works with original Bulgarian and Russian triangle stocks using a small clamping plate that allows you to slide the riser forward or backward to your preference
. - Form & Function: Machined and anodized for durability, it provides a large, comfortable surface area for your cheek while still allowing the stock to fold tightly
.
The Build: The "Indestructible" AK-105

This AK-105 is one of JMAC’s original machine guns, used for years as a demo and product testing platform
Key Components of the Build:
- MMS System: The rifle is fully decked out in our Modular Mounting System (MMS), including the AKM dust cover which is guaranteed to hold zero
. The system features unique octagonal cam washers with eight positions per side, allowing you to perfectly adjust length, height, and even MOA . - Handguards & Stops: It features the 9.56 handguard (allowing access to the cleaning rod) and the GT AKM gas tube
. We’ve added our new Bakelite Tab M-LOK Handstop—a birch laminate, US-made piece that adds incredible "flavor" to the build . - Suppression: Up front is the Banka Suppressor, a collaboration with Richmond Tactical
. It’s designed specifically for the AK, offering extremely low back pressure so you don’t need an adjustable gas block or piston . - Suppressor Mount: We used the 360HD-X37, a "bulletproof" recoil reduction device that requires no timing and provides the shortest possible setup for 24mm threads

- Control & Ergonomics:
- RCQD: A mount that prevents hand burns on the gas block while providing a QD sling point.
- Mag Funnel: A 5.45/5.56 funnel for lightning-fast mag insertions
. - Crab Selector: Makes actuating the safety incredibly easy
. - Bakalite Grip: A comfortable, stylish birch laminate grip made right here in the USA
.
At JMAC Customs, we believe a firearm should be more than just a tool
