It was not obvious to me why I needed these when I ordered jmac's muzzle brake. Here is why: When you tighten the choke into place, it will twist too far, or won't twist far enough, and therefore will not be oriented to properly direct the recoil. These shims allow you to fix that by letting you adjust the amount of twisting required to tighten the choke.
