The JMac railed gas tube is very light. Durable finish. The gas tube fits perfectly to the barrel clamp of the lower handguard. Be advised, though. This gas tube will not work with the Definetive Arms gas block. The regulator is too wide for the, " fit over the gas block," feature. To keep the AK free float system that I desired, I machined back the gas tube until it cleared the regulator/ gas block. This is no fault of JMac customs products or a ding on the systems quality. The quality is superb. A recommend for anyone wanting to take the AK platform to the next level.

I just got mine last week. And put it together(very easy took me about 2 mins with also adding the rail) and I put about 150 rounds down range to make sure everything was working and I had no heat in the gas tube…. I had heat on my sling point but nothing on the rail or gas tube. Very impressed and happy with my purchase!! Highly recommend
