The AK-104 booster ensures reliability and directs the blast, sound and flash forward making it ideal for CQB and team scenarios.

The booster was originally designed for short barrel AK variants providing a gas chamber, for adding additional back pressure to the gas system, ensuring reliability. Since the short barrel variants weren't issued with a bayonet and barb wire cutter, notches were machined in the front of the booster so you can line the barb wire up in them and pull the trigger instantly cutting the wire.
